Consumer Judging
Do you like shopping and saving money? Consumer Judging may be the perfect 4-H competition for you! Join the Cobb County 4-H Consumer Judging team as you learn to judge and comparison shop the following classes: fastfood breakfast meals, backpacks, athletic pants, and tablets. Competitors will also give a short, yet creative commercial about cotton as a part of the competition. This judging team is open to 4th-12th grade 4-H'ers. Practices are held weekly on Thursday evenings from 6:30pm-8:00pm at the Extension Office. The competition will be held on Monday, November 7th, 2022. Horse Judging and Hippology
Join the 2023 Cobb 4-H Horse Judging and Hippology team! You do not have to own a horse to be a member of this team. Contestants will judge eight classes, four confirmation classes and four performance classes. 4-H'ers will learn the basics of judging and placing horses along with many other valuable skills including decision making, critical thinking, public speaking and more! Practices will be held in the spring ending with the competition in April 2023 This judging team is open to 4th-12th grade students.

LifeSmarts
Looking for a fun extracurricular activity? Welcome to LifeSmarts! LifeSmarts is a consumer literacy competition that gives students a chance to compete and excel -- while gaining the tools they need to succeed in today's consumer marketplace. That means being prepared to make smart financial investments and sound decisions and avoiding the common traps and pitfalls many consumers encounter in the real world. LifeSmarts is a national quiz-bowl-style competition that tests knowledge on a variety of topics. It’s free to sign up, so get involved today! The first meeting will be held on September 26th from 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm. Wildlife Judging
Are you interested in learning more about Wildlife and animal species in your community? Are you competitive and want to join a 4-H judging team? Wildlife Judging may be the team for you! Join the fun as we learn about different animal species and their habitats while looking at skulls and furs. Learn management for wildlife including the land, water, and population. This will help develop decision-making, leadership, and written and oral communication skills. Open to 4th-12th graders. Practices begin Monday March 6th 2023.
